Solar Installation and EPC in Kenya
Grid-tied, hybrid and backup solar systems designed around your site's load, roof or ground space, and budget — from load assessment through installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance.
Which system type fits your site?
Grid-tied
Panels feed directly into the grid connection, cutting the electricity bill without battery storage. Lowest upfront cost, but production stops during a grid outage — no backup function.
Hybrid
Combines solar with battery storage and a hybrid inverter — offsets grid usage during the day and keeps selected loads running through an outage. The most common choice for homes and C&I sites in Kenya given grid reliability.
Off-grid / backup
Fully independent of the grid, or configured purely as backup power for critical loads. Needs the largest battery bank relative to load, since there's no grid to fall back on.
Not sure which fits? That's exactly what the load assessment below is for — the right configuration depends on your actual usage pattern and outage tolerance, not a fixed rule.
What goes into a Nextritech solar system
We size the array, inverter and battery together, then specify named equipment for your site. Panels and protection are shown here; the Growatt inverter and battery range follows below.
Tier-1 monocrystalline modules from five leading manufacturers. We choose the model and wattage to suit your roof or ground space, and confirm it on your quotation. PV modules are VAT-exempt in Kenya.
Tiger Neo series
N-type TOPCon modules.
DeepBlue series
High-efficiency mono modules.
Hi-MO series
Mono modules from one of the largest PV makers.
Vertex series
High-power mono modules.
HiKu series
High-power mono modules.
The parts that make a system safe and durable. Sized to your design, not picked from a standard kit.
Breakers, fuses and surge protection (SPD)
Rated to the string and inverter currents on your site.
Solar PV cable, EN 50618
Sized for current and a low voltage drop, with correct DC and AC runs.
Rails and hardware by roof type
Iron sheet, tile, concrete and ground-mount structures.
Rotary changeover switch, 63 A
Switches selected loads between grid and the solar-battery system.
Earthing and lightning protection
Equipment and array bonded and earthed to standard.
Product ranges shown are indicative. Availability and pricing change, so your quotation lists the exact equipment for your system.

How a Nextritech solar project runs
Load assessment
Sizing starts with your real load profile — what runs, when, and for how long — not a rule-of-thumb per-room estimate. This is also where roof/ground space, shading and grid connection details get confirmed.
System design
Array size, inverter capacity and (for hybrid/backup) battery bank are sized together against the load profile and your chosen configuration — tier-1 panels and hybrid inverters as the baseline equipment class.
Installation and commissioning
Mounting, wiring and inverter/battery installation, followed by commissioning tests before the system is handed over — confirming the array performs against the design figures, not just that it powers on.
Monitoring and maintenance
Ongoing support to keep the system performing as designed — panel/inverter checks, and monitoring so a drop in output gets caught early rather than discovered on the next bill.

Frequently asked questions
What types of solar systems does Nextritech install?
Grid-tied, hybrid (solar + battery) and off-grid/backup systems, for residential, commercial and industrial sites — see "Which system type fits your site?" above.
How is a solar system sized?
From a load assessment of your actual usage pattern, plus available roof/ground space and grid connection details — not a flat per-room or per-square-metre estimate.
Can battery storage be added to an existing solar system?
Often yes, depending on the existing inverter's compatibility with battery retrofit — see our Battery Energy Storage page for detail on sizing and inverter compatibility.
Do you provide solar maintenance after installation?
Yes — ongoing monitoring and maintenance support is part of how we work, covered in the process above. Specific plan terms are confirmed at the quote stage for your site.
What information do you need before a quote?
Your location, an idea of monthly usage or the appliances/equipment you need powered, whether you want backup during outages, and available roof or ground space — the enquiry form below covers the basics to get a technical follow-up started.
Ready to size your system?
Tell us your location, usage and what you need powered — our technical team will follow up to scope a load assessment.
